Owner Stephen Gibbs is a proud military veteran who set out to create a local neighborhood brewery. “Our focus and goal is to make sure you have a good time” says veteran Gibbs. Gibbs believes that the origin behind a great neighborhood brewery is their ability to meet the tastes of locals first. Constant feedback from neighborhood patrons forms an authentic collaborative relationship between the brewery and neighborhood. By remaining in the nano-brewery category, C’ville-ian is able to adapt quickly, making small batch beer that perfectly suits changing tastes and seasons.  From the succulent milk stout with notes of chocolate and coffee, to the hand-crafted flagship beer the “C’ville on the Rye’z” IPA, C’Ville-ian Brewery has a knack for using simple ingredients to craft beers into local favorites.  Gibbs emphasizes the brewery’s goal to use fresh, local ingredients in order to fashion beer that reflects its position in the larger community.

Snuggled amongst restaurants and boutiques, C’ville-ian is a convenient stroll from the historic downtown walking mall, and it draws in pedestrians with its well-lit storefront and the cozy ambiance waiting inside. The core values of this brewery are draped along the walls, with quotes from past Presidents setting the context of national history. An American Flag centers the lounging area, and Gibbs points out that even subtle elements of the brewery’s interior design carry the patriotic theme. He describes how the red tinted wood grain bar and the white walls represent the stripes while the dark blue ceiling tiles and fifty dangling lights represent the stars, creating a living representation of the American flag. C’ville-ian Brewing Company serves as a venue for events and shows as well. Often, you will find local musicians performing, and previous regular events have included comedy shows.
